This section is a gallery of old paintings and drawings depicting Normandy as it was in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Obviously a lot has changed in Normandy since that time. But much of the picturesque country side and many of the quaint Normandy farm houses remain as they were a century ago.
If you have the opportunity to visit Normandy we recommend that you visit the magnificent Abbey of Mont St. Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the most spectacular examples of medieval architecture in the world. If you like rustic tranquility, renting a farm house or staying at a bed and breakfast on a working farm is also a great way to get to know the people and daily life of Normandy. |
